At the Atlas Economic Research Foundation’s 2007 Liberty Forum, the keynote address of the Fisher Memorial Awards Dinner was given by John Allison, the chairman and chief executive officer of BB&T Corporation, the 11th largest financial holding company in the United States.
At the Liberty Forum, Allison discussed how Ayn Rand’s ideas of “rational self-interest” animate his approach to business, and life in general. He also spoke of his involvement in establishing programs that educate young people about the morality of free enterprise.
