Capitalism is usually conceived as an evil idea, the mere fact of practicing self-interest has been thought as wrong and the traditional ethics teaches us that we don't have to combine with the idea of entrepreneurship. In her book Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand explains us   how these two ideas are compatible: When we seek our benefit, we benefit the others.

of his nationally syndicated three-hour talk radio show to Ayn Rand,
her philosophy, and understanding the current state of events through
the lens of Objectivism.

The broadcast will air live on Monday, November 17, 2008, beginning at
10 a.m., Eastern Standard Time.

The Ayn Rand Center's Yaron Brook, Onkar Ghate, Elan Journo,
Thomas Bowden and Eric Daniels will be the exclusive guests for this
extended broadcast. They will discuss the financial crisis,
Bush's claimed defense of capitalism, today's challenges
to free speech, and the situations in Iraq and Afghanistan, among
other topics.

yAt the Atlas Economic Research Foundation’s 2007 Liberty Forum, the keynote address of the Fisher Memorial Awards Dinner was given by John Allison, the chairman and chief executive officer of BB&T Corporation, the 11th largest financial holding company in the United States.

At the Liberty Forum, Allison discussed how Ayn Rand’s ideas of “rational self-interest” animate his approach to business, and life in general. He also spoke of his involvement in establishing programs that educate young people about the morality of free enterprise.
